  • Unlock: Level 125
  • Excellent Orb Farm: 25% from treasure chests & 4% from each Mouse

  • Special rules: You do not lose rank experience on death (You cant die in the Mouse Hole!)
Unlock Requirement
Level 125
Entry Cost
1 Saw
Window Duration
6m 30s
Per-Window Limits
2 Chests

Mouse Hole Exclusive: Treasure chests in Zone 1 have a 25% random Orb drop rate & 4% from each Mouse - This makes the Mouse Hole a decent location for random Orb farming.

Access Window

Using 1 Saw opens the Mouse Hole for exactly 6 minutes and 30 seconds. During this time window, you have limited interactions:

  • Treasure Chest Limit: Maximum 2 chest openings during the window
  • Combat Run Limit: Maximum 4 total raid completions during the window
  • Window Duration: 6m30s, decreases by 30s per passive reward tick
  • Multiple Entries: Can re-enter multiple times until limits are hit or timer expires

Timing Strategy: Each combat run takes 5 minutes. You can realistically fit 1-2 runs within the 6m30s window before you need to use another saw!

Zone Structure

The Mouse Hole consists of two distinct zones serving different purposes:

Zone 0 - Combat Arena

Duration
5 minutes
Runs Allowed
4 Total
Random Orb Drop Rate
4%

Combat zone where you fight enemies for 5 minutes per run. Enemies scale with each kill, but Orbs always drop at a 4% rate. Score from combat contributes to your final Magic Ring quality.

Zone 1 - Treasure Room

Chests Available
2 Opens
Orb Drop Rate
25%

Treasure zone with dramatically increased Orb drop rate. The 25% drop rate makes this the primary source of Orbs during the raid. Limited to 2 chest opens per Saw usage.

Orb Farming: Zone 1's 25% Orb drop rate is over 6x higher than Zone 0's 4% rate. Prioritize opening both chests for maximum Orb gains!

Enemy Scaling

Enemies in scale progressively with each kill during your run:

Health Multiplier = 1 + (0.004 × enemy_number)

Attack Multiplier = 1 + (0.00045 × enemy_number)

Scaling Analysis

  • Enemy Level: Mice spawn 3 levels below player level
  • Poison Damage: Mice deal poison damage (true damage that bypasses armor)

Special Raid Rules

The Mouse Hole has unique combat mechanics that drastically change how your stats work:

  • No XP Loss on Death: You cannot lose rank experience - death teleports you to the treasure room
  • Modified Health: Base HP reduced to 5%, but you gain +10,000 flat health
  • Modified Attack: Power from items reduced to 5% + 10 flat damage
  • Modified Armor: Armor from items reduced to 5% + 100 flat armor
  • Melee Bonus: Melee weapons deal 1.5x damage (ranged weapons have no bonus)
  • Enhanced Crits: 25% base crit chance, 3.0x base crit multiplier (crit damage bonuses 50% effective)
  • High HP Regen: 15% of normal regen + 1,800 flat regen
  • Weakened Pets: Pet damage reduced to 10% + 5 flat damage
  • Reduced Resist: Resistance reduced to 20% of normal

Build Impact: These special rules create a completely different meta. Up to you to adapt your build for maximum efficiency!

Mouse Hole Magic Ring

The signature reward from Mouse Hole is a Magic Ring with score-scaled Speed% bonus and random enchantment.

Speed% Calculation

Speed% = Log10(1 + score/1600) × 1.77 + Random(0.3 to 1.0)

Ring Properties

  • Primary Stat: Speed% scaled by your total score
  • Random Component: +0.3% to +1.0% additional Speed% (RNG)
  • Enchantment: One random enchantment rolled on the ring
  • Higher Score = Better Ring

Speed% by Score

Score Base Speed% With Max Roll (+1.0%)
1,600 ~0.53% ~1.53%
8,000 ~1.14% ~2.14%
16,000 ~1.39% ~2.39%

Optimization Tip: The logarithmic scaling means doubling your score doesn't double your Speed%. Focus on consistent high scores rather than extreme pushing.

Strategy Guide

Window Management

  • Multiple Runs Possible: Can complete 1-2 combat runs within a single window
  • Chest Access: Open treasure chests after completing combat runs

Combat Optimization

  • Sustain Damage Build: 5 minutes favors consistent DPS and survival over burst
  • Use Buffs: Use Elixirs, and optimized ad-buff and skill layout

Ring Quality Goals

Aim for high scores to maximize your Magic Ring's Speed% bonus. Pray for a good random enchantment and nice Rarity roll!

Saw Crafting

Saws are crafted using Pixels and Voxels. The cost increases with each saw crafted but also decays over time.

Penalty System

  • Penalty per purchase: 154 penalty per saw crafted
  • Result: Slowest decay of all special areas - costs stay elevated longer

Decay per tick: 1 + penalty/175
Applied every 30 seconds

Decay Examples

  • At 175 penalty: Decay = 1 + (175/175) = 2 per tick
  • At 350 penalty: Decay = 1 + (350/175) = 3 per tick
  • At 700 penalty: Decay = 1 + (700/175) = 5 per tick

Conclusion: Higher penalties decay significantly faster. Mouse Hole saws decay slower than other special area keys (divider of 175 vs 115 for Cave and 80 for Tower), meaning costs take longer to normalize.

Saw Cost Tiers

Penalty Range Pixels Voxels
0-9 125 2
10-164 400 7
165-309 950 13
310-489 1,525 19
490-659 2,250 25
660+ 3,175 30

Note: Unlike Cave and Tower keys, Mouse Hole saws have no free tier - the minimum cost is always 125 Pixels and 2 Voxels, even at 0 penalty.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I unlock The Mouse Hole Raid?
The Mouse Hole Raid unlocks at level 125. It is located in The Cottage (House). You need to craft Saws using Pixels and Voxels to enter the raid. Each Saw opens a 6 minute 30 second window where you can complete multiple combat runs and open treasure chests.
What are the access window limits?
Using 1 Saw opens a 6m30s window. During this time, you can open a maximum of 2 treasure chests and complete a maximum of 4 combat runs. Each combat run takes 5 minutes, so you can realistically fit 1-2 runs within the window. You can re-enter multiple times until limits are hit or the timer expires.
How does the Magic Ring scaling work?
The Magic Ring has a score-scaled Speed% bonus calculated as: Speed% = Log10(1 + score/1600) × 1.77 + Random(0.3 to 1.0). Higher scores grant better rings. The logarithmic scaling means doubling your score doesn't double your Speed%. Focus on consistent high scores for optimal ring quality with random enchantments.
What's the best strategy for orb farming in The Mouse Hole?
Zone 1 treasure chests have a 25% Orb drop rate (6x higher than Zone 0's 4% rate from mice). Prioritize opening both chests every run for maximum Orb gains. The Mouse Hole is an excellent location for random Orb farming due to these high drop rates combined with consistent combat encounters.
Why don't I lose rank experience when I die in The Mouse Hole?
This is because death is the intended way to reach the treasure room - dying teleports you directly there to claim your rewards. Since dying is mandatory, losing XP would be frustrating and make the dungeon almost pointless to play.
